Priest, educators, and members of the Archdiocesan School Board attended the 105th annual convention and exposition of the National Catholic Educational Association in Indianapolis, Ind., March 25-28. The Most Reverend Blase Cupich, bishop of Rapids City, S.D., addressed the opening general session on Tuesday, and Daniel H. Pink, author of “Free Agent Nation” and “ A Whole New Mind: Why Right Brainers Will Rule the Future,” addressed the gathering on Thursday. |

Mark Monnerat, Principal of St. Joseph School, Bristol received the award for Distinguished Elementary School Principal for the New England States. Mark is pictured with Dr. Karen Ristau, President of the National Catholic Educational Association. Former recipients of this national award in the Hartford Archdiocese have been Mrs. Kathleen Molner, Principal of Assumption School, Ansonia in 2007 and Mrs. Eileen Sampiere, Principal of Corpus Christi School, Wethersfield, 2005. NCEA is the largest private professional education association in the world.
