Curriculum Standards

The schools of the Archdiocese of Hartford are committed to providing a rigorous academic curriculum based on the teachings of the Catholic Church, infused with Catholic social teachings, rooted in basic skills and coupled with innovative programs that prepare our students with 21st century skills. To that end, all traditional curriculum guides in the core subject areas have been revised to curriculum standards and reflect a continuum of learning from pre-kindergarten through to graduation in high school. All curriculum documents are in alignment with national standards and correspond to the high expectations set by the Archdiocese of Hartford.

As we move forward to immerse technology and 21st century skills in all curricular areas, we recognize the importance of Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) Literacy. ICT skills are embedded in all areas of the curriculum at all grade levels. Archdiocesan Technology Integration Expectations (found on the Resources page of this website) outlines ICT proficiency levels, performance indicators, and student expectations. This document provides our educators with a wealth of information and resources to ensure that technology is effectively integrated into all disciplines throughout the school day at all grade levels. Currently used curriculum standards are available at each school.
