The HOPES Collection is taken in all parishes of the Archdiocese of Hartford to benefit all elementary and middle schools, with special support given to those city schools serving underprivileged families. In addition, these funds assist in the collective marketing endeavors for ALL Catholic elementary and middle Schools.
Grants are awarded through an application process, and determined according to specific criteria. The 2012 High School Collection was taken during the weekend of January 21-22. Our Goal for this year is $300,000 by January 1, 2012.

The 34th Annual HOPES Dinner was held on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington, CT. The evening provided the Archdiocese of Hartford with a wonderful opportunity to honor the volunteers who give so much time and talent to our Catholic schools. This year, 121 St. John Neumann Honorees from our Catholic elementary schools were recognized. The St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Award, given annually to a person who has made an exceptional impact on a school and its Advancement program, was presented to Donald P. Deloge on behalf of St. Francis & St. Rose of Lima School in New Haven.
Attendees at this year's HOPES Dinner experienced the delightful tones of members of the St. Thomas the Apostle School Liturgical Choir and the St. Paul Performing Arts, St. Paul Catholic High School. Their songs were a beautiful expression of our gratitude for these extraordinary volunteers. Over 600 people from 48 elementary schools enjoyed the festivities, including pastors, principals, honorees, school community members, family, Archdiocesan agency staffers, members of the Archdiocesan School Board, and board members of the Foundation for the Advancement of Catholic Schools. Also announced at the HOPES Dinner was the 2011 – 2012 Archdiocesan Distinguished Elementary Pastor Award, presented to Rev. Mark Jette of St. Lawrence in West Haven.
The dinner is held in conjunction with the HOPES Collection, taken on the same weekend of September 24/25th in every parish of the Archdiocese of Hartford to benefit all elementary schools, with special support given to those city schools serving underprivileged families. HOPES Grants are then awarded through an application process, and determined according to specific criteria. The collection also supports the Archdiocesan marketing campaign on behalf of all Catholic elementary schools. The goal of the 2011 collection is $300,000.
