Archdiocesan School Board

Committee Goals

2008-2009

Executive Committee: Chair, Robert Cyr

Vice Chair:  Patricia A. Teufel Driscoll

Superintendent:  Dale R. Hoyt

  • Design and deliver a two part workshop presentation for the National Catholic Educational Association Convention in Anaheim regarding the process and implementation of Common Threads. (Part I:  Educational Symposium;  Part II:  Common Threads and the Strategic Plan)
  • Develop processes and procedures for the Archdiocesan School Board to source funding independently for certain initiatives within the strategic plan, thereby facilitating their implementation. 
  • Develop a process for highlighting and communicating to constituents a summary of Archdiocesan School Board actions.

  • Continue to ensure that the composition of the board is diverse culturally, geographically and in gender.
  • Solicit and interview potential board candidates with the skills and expertise needed from under-represented constituencies.

  • Develop a program or informational session for priests newly appointed by the Archbishop to parishes with schools to  orientate them about to Catholic school education, which includes the role and responsibilities of the pastor with a school, including working collaboratively with the local school board.  (Catholic Identity)
