Curriculum Standards

The schools of the Archdiocese of Hartford are committed to providing a rigorous academic curriculum based on the teachings of the Catholic Church, infused with Catholic social teachings, rooted in basic skills and coupled with innovative programs that prepare our students with 21st century skills.  To that end, all traditional curriculum guides in the core subject areas have been revised to curriculum standards and reflect a continuum of learning from pre-kindergarten through to graduation in high school.  As teachers use these documents to inform instruction, we will ask for their input and reactions. We are optimistic that this will lead to a final refinement of the documents.

As we move forward to immerse technology and 21st century skills in all curricular areas, the Archdiocesan Technology Competencies will also continue to be revised and refined.  This document provides our educators with a wealth of information and resources to ensure that technology is effectively integrated into all disciplines throughout the school day at all grade levels.  Currently used curriculum standards and guidelines are available at each school.
